Dj Tiesto Has Laughed Off His Recent Boat Crash
Guetta was left with a hefty repair bill after Tiesto crashed a luxury yacht into the dock at the Titanium hitmaker's Florida home, while attempting to pick his friend up for a party. The engine stalled as the Dutch star and his companions were floating towards Guetta's home and the driver was unable to stop the yacht from barrelling into the wooden dock, causing an estimated $30,000 (£18,750) of damage. Video footage of the incident, posted on another friend Martin Garrix's Instagram page, shows Guetta laughing hysterically at his pal, before joining him and Garrix on the yacht.

Frenchman Guetta joked about the crash at the time on social media, stating, "Life is beautiful when friends come say hi!!! Just a little expensive!" Now Tiesto has addressed the accident, insisting news stories about the damage were overblown. Asked if he has paid for the repairs to Guetta's dock, Tiesto tells WENN, "That was a fun day in Miami with Martin. I know all the blogs picked it up but it really wasn't a big deal. I'm sure David has fixed it."

Tiesto, who will be performing at the Sunset Music Festival in Tampa, Florida this weekend (23-24May15), also reveals his friendship with Guetta has been blown up too, admitting the superstar DJs are far too busy to hang out and their day on the water was a rare get together. He adds, "We really don't have time together outside of the big festival shows. Even then maybe it's a few moments. We are always travelling in different directions."

Bob Sinclar Highest-Paid Dj in the World
t's been a rough year for the dj, but at least he has his millions of dollars to ease the pain. 46-year-old Bob Sinclar has taken the No. 1 spot on People With Money's top 10 highest-paid djs for 2015 with an estimated $58 million in combined earnings.

In 2012 it looked like the dj's spectacular career was winding down. Suddenly, he was back on top. People With Money reports on Tuesday (June 2) that Bob Sinclar is the highest-paid dj in the world, pulling in an astonishing $58 million between May 2014 and May 2015, a nearly $30 million lead over his closest competition.

In compiling this yearly list, the magazine considers factors such as upfront pay, profit participation, residuals, endorsements and advertising work.

The French dj has an estimated net worth of $185 million. He owes his fortune to smart stock investments, substantial property holdings, lucrative endorsement deals with CoverGirl cosmetics. He also owns several restaurants (the Fat Bob Sinclar Burger chain) in Paris, a Football Team (the Paris Angels), has launched his own brand of Vodka (Pure Wonderbob Sinclar - France), and is tackling the juniors market with a top-selling perfume (With Love from Bob Sinclar) and a fashion line called Bob Sinclar Seduction.

The ranking is significant for many Bob Sinclar fans, who have been waiting for his triumphant return to the glory days for what seems like a lifetime.

Calvin Harris announced for Glasgow Summer Sessions
Global star Calvin Harris has been announced as the first headline act of Glasgow Summer Sessions 2015, as Scotland's only outdoor city music festival returns to Bellahouston Park this August.

Taking to the stage on Sunday 30th August, fans can expect to hear some of Calvin's best known hits such as 'Outside', 'Under Control', 'We Found Love' and 'Sweet Nothing'.

Tickets go on sale Friday 6th March, 2015 at 9am via www.glasgowsummersessions.com or by calling 08444 999 990.

Since his 2007 debut, Calvin Harris has dominated charts across the world, having written and produced tracks for artists such as Rihanna, Kylie Minogue and Ellie Goulding. Harris surpassed Michael Jackson in holding the record for most top ten hits from one studio album when nine tracks from his third album, '18 Months', made the charts.

Geoff Ellis, CEO of DF Concerts & Events said: 'Following on from his incredibly memorable headline performance at last year's T in the Park, this will be Calvin's first headline at an outdoor show in Scotland ' so we are thrilled that it will be at Glasgow Summer Sessions. Calvin has previously played two sell-out dates at The Hydro and has toured the world playing his chart-topping tracks, so this will be an incredible gig that shouldn't be missed'

Last year's Summer Sessions saw US superstars, The Killers, and DJs David Guetta and Steve Angello perform to over 100,000 people at Glasgow's Bellahouston Park across three dates. The events attracted thousands of visitors to the city and provided a massive boost to the local economy.

Ushuaïa opening party
The whole landscape of Playa d'en Bossa changed when major Ibiza player Matutes decided that the strip was to become his playground and created the now globally recognised brand Ushuaïa. Since then the venue has grown in size and stature and commands the attention of thousands upon thousands of dancefloor warriors each and every week throughout the season whether it be for the EDM or the underground parties. The opening and closing parties of the club are of course major events, kicking off when the sun is high in the sky and going way into the following morning and beyond the usual midnight closing time for outdoor parties. This year, the Ushuaïa opening party takes place a week later than previous years, giving you more breathing space around the weekend of IMS and DC10 openings and lending itself to a proper marathon of a party by being on the same weekend as Amnesia and Space's much loved opening parties. So, the date to remember is Saturday 30th May and features a monster selection of artists on the bill. We're talking The Martinez Brothers, Maya Jane Coles B2B Kim Ann Foxman, Nic Fanciulli B2B Agoria, Andrea Oliva B2B Davide Squillace, Claude VonStroke B2B Miss Kittin, Kölsch B2B Deetron - Catz n Dogz and lastly UNER B2B Los Suruba. A total of six back-to-back sessions from some of the worlds finest selectors. Tickets for this monster hoedown on sale now at 40? if you enter before 4pm or 60? thereafter. Both tickets are then valid until close.

Erick Morillo returning to Liverpool
There will be an important milestone reached in Erick Morillo's household this weekend. On February 1 the larger than life DJ, producer and party bringer will have made it to a year sober.

Having ridden high on the dance music wave throughout the late Nineties and the Noughties, with hit tracks from I Like To Move It and Jazz It Up - under the Reel to Real moniker - to the more recent massive Shawnee Taylor/Eddie Theonick collaborations Live Your Life and Stronger, the Colombian-American musician stepped back from the scene in late 2013 amid wide concern for his health and wellbeing.

Then last summer he revealed to fans in a Facebook post that he had spent time in the renowned Promises rehab facility in California which has treated stars like Britney Spears and Charlie Sheen.

"I was going through some personal stuff that I had to deal with," he tells me. "I lost it for a little while. I was dealing with divorce and a lot of other things... but now I am on the other side. I am looking good, feeling good. I am in a really good place. I have found my passion again, found my hunger for making music and I am so excited about that."

Following his hiatus, Morillo made a tentative return to clubland last spring and there have been a smattering of gigs since.

Speaking to me from his home in Los Angeles, the 43-year-old livewire certainly sounds to be back on form.

"There was a lot of love given to me when I took the time off," he begins. "People were hearing stories and rumours. But people reached out and I did feel the love... although during that period I didn't want to hear from anybody.

"When I did decide to come back it took me a while. I didn't want it to be business as usual.

"The first gig I did was last May after not gigging for eight months. I played for Space in Miami for eleven and a half hours. It was awesome.

"I did a gig in LA then I did Ministry in London playing for eight hours. I did a couple of gigs in Ibiza - one for Space's anniversary and a couple of other things but I just wanted to do things that were special, limit the number of gigs and not get back to travelling every weekend and going crazy with that.

"Everyone has been so supportive not only my friends but my fans. The true Erick Morillo fans are loving the music that I am making and the gigs I am playing."

The main thing for Morillo this time around it seems is playing and making the music he loves.

"Absolutely. I had started following what was big - in America they call it the EDM sound and it really wasn't me. That is not what I am about. There are records within that genre that I enjoyed playing, but I was playing stuff just because it was big. Now it is about playing what I love and that has been helped by the resurgence of house and deep house and tech house."

Key to Morillo's renaissance will be the return of the record label he turned into an international club brand loved the world over - Subliminal . Such is the excitement behind it, Morillo will be doing the Essential Mix on Pete Tong's Radio One show on February 14 to launch it.

"We just released a record in collaboration with the record label Ultra called Devotion it's myself Harry Romero and Shawnee Taylor," he explains. "That has been in the works for about four or five months but the actual relaunch of Subliminal is coming early March. I am really excited about that.

"Not only will we be bringing out original music, we are also going to be re-releasing a lot of the old back catalogue with some of the guys who are doing some really good house and tech house.

"With all the house and deep house I feel there is still room for what Subliminal used to do when we first came out... music which is still housey but pumping. The tracks I have been working on lately, that's kind of where they fall. There is room to grow there within the scene. I see that as a the challenge and it is a challenge I am accepting."

Hot on the heels of that, March 7 will see Morillo make a very long-awaited return to Liverpool, headlining the main room at Cream .

"Liverpool has always been very special for me. Every time I played at Cream the parties were always amazing. But not only that some of my fondest memories were when we were doing the Subliminal Sessions tent at Creamfields which was always so special.

"I always had a great time... and a great after-party. The sound system was second to none, there was always a great mood a great vibe, everybody dancing all around the room. Even though it has been a while I know it is going to be rocking in there.

"This is a new day in my life. A lot of things have changed for me personally," Morillo adds. "I always expected my life to be boring... if I am not drinking alcohol what am I going to do? But I actually have a whole different appreciation for the things that I do... and now I remember it in the morning."

Erick Morillo joins Sander Van Doorn, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Danny Howard, Gareth Wyn, Ferry Corsten, Aly & Fila, John O'Callaghan, Simon Patterson, Mike Mago, Philip george and more at Cream at Nation, Wolstenholme Square on Saturday March 7. Tickets £30 plus b.f.

Armin van Buuren 'A State of Trance'
Coming off of a year that saw Armin van Buuren receive a Grammy nomination and several platinum awards for 'This Is What It Feels Like', a world tour that reached over 500,000 visitors across 5 continents, and a slew of other prestigious awards - what could be next for the man fueled by an undying passion for trance, Armin van Buuren? Never one to rest on his laurels, Armin has constantly sought to expand and build upon the genre he helped define, opening up new worlds for not only himself, but also for his fellow performers and of course, audiences around the world. A quick glance at recent tour photos reveals the new scale of the A State of Trance experience, especially when compared to the humble beginnings of it all so many years ago. The twelfth installment in the series, A State of Trance 2015 marks the start of life on a bigger stage.

With a brand new collaboration with Mark Sixma entitled 'Panta Rhei' and a selection of Armin's personal favourites, the excitement for 2015 has only just begun. In addition to an exclusive Gareth Emery remix of Cosmic Gate, the album also has a whopping 26 exclusive and unreleased tracks, including never-before-heard songs from Armada Music artists Protoculture, Alexander Popov, Orjan Nilsen, two new Gaia songs, and the fan-anticipated Armin van Buuren presents Rising Star feat. Betsie Larkin - 'Safe Inside You'.

Armin will once again seamlessly mix his top picks into a continuous journey, taking listeners new and old with him for a wild experience. The first set is titled "On the Beach", and the second is called "In the Club", representing the two sides of the coin of a perfect musical experience. It's this diversity that has led the compilation to be once again nominated for an IDMA in 2015, after having won the award in 2014 and having either won or been nominated every year since 2005.

This year will celebrate ASOT Episode #700, with the ASOT Festival touring the world in what will surely be one of the most ambitious trance tours ever devised. The world's first festival based upon a radio show, ASOT Festival proves the growing strength of not only Armin and A State of Trance, but of the genre itself.

Once you get to the top, the only way forward is to dare to dream even higher. This is A State of Trance 2015.

David Guetta is having a midlife crisis
The 47-year-old star has had a tough time recently, splitting from his wife of 22 years, Cathy, in March. He has two children with his ex, and is finding their divorce difficult.

"It's kind of a midlife crisis," he sighed to French newspaper Le Parisien.

"I'm [47] and I've always been a really happy guy. I shared that with Cathy. We were putting that image across, and it was the truth.

"For many years, my life was synonymous with party. When you're into that, you never settle down. Right now, I'm in a midlife crisis. I'm questioning everything. My music, what's important to me. There were things I thought were important that are less so now."

While he was open about the way the divorce has made him feel, he didn't want to go into why he and Cathy split.

He also let all this emotion filter into his new album Listen, which was released earlier this month.

"It took me three years [to record Listen] and for eight months nothing came out! I couldn't go forward. That's never happened to me. It was linked to my personal life and also to the end of a musical cycle," he explained.

"I show a lot more emotion. This is my most personal album. I show my more vulnerable side. Usually, I'm a control freak; I'm planning my life for the next two years. And when I was no longer in control of my life, I was absolutely terrified. There are songs about that."

Steve Aoki Will No Longer Throw Cakes at Festivalgoers
Steve Aoki is well known for his cake-throwing abilities. However, festivalgoers who were hoping to have the EDM musician hurl a baked dessert at their faces are out of luck. Aoki just released a statement stating that as of 2015, he would refrain from chucking cake at non-headline shows. Caking is now a honor to be bestowed only on his “die hard fans.”

Aoki released a new song, “Cake Face,” to commemorate this decision, one that will surely go down in the annals of history. Read the full statement and listen to “Cake Face” below. If you can’t make it to one of his headline shows, then this song is as close as you’re going to get to that sweet, sweet Aoki frosting.

To start the New Year I’m making some new changes and have decided I’ll no longer be caking fans at most festivals. There might be an exception here or there but for the most part I’ll be saving the CAKE for my headline shows, keeping it exclusive for the die hard fans. So if you want to get caked, come to one of my headline shows like the Neon Future Experience that is happening across the USA and Canada in Feb/March, or at my upcoming Manchester and London shows, or in Vegas and Ibiza. And to show my love to all the fans around the world that love the cake I wrote a song especially for YOU, properly titled CAKEFACE! It’s up now and free to download at soundcloud.com/steveaoki. Love you to infinity and back. Now let’s go forward into the neon future!!
